Choosing Your Wedding Ceremony Music
Your wedding ceremony: one of the most exciting times of your life going forward as a couple! Including live music is the perfect way to reflect on this special moment. Music sparks emotion, creates a beautiful atmosphere for you, your family and guests and sets the tone for a fabulous celebration.
Points of your ceremony where music is featured:
PRE - CEREMONY while the guests are arriving
Background music while guests arrive to the venue usually consists of around 15 to 20 minutes worth. If you have a genre you love - we can focus on a selection of pieces/songs that suit you as a couple. You are also more than welcome to request particular music that you know your guests will love as they take their seats.
PROCESSIONAL entrance of the bridal party ( 1 - 2 songs )
Perhaps it’s just you, or maybe you have 10 best friends joining you for your walk down the aisle. You can choose to have one song that lasts the duration of the entire procession or you can mix it up and have one piece of music for the bridesmaids and one just for you. We are experienced in creating a seamless transition from start to finish.
SIGNING OF THE REGISTER finally time to make it official! ( 1 - 2 songs )
Generally speaking, we recommend one piece of music - that one special piece that you and your guests can listen to and reflect on while the legal side is taking place. You may select a second choice that we can play just incase proceedings are slow.
UNITY CEREMONY this can include candle lighting/offertory/communion/knot tying ( 1 song )
If you’re including a religious, historical or secular component on your wedding day, that’s awesome! We would love to perform during this and can play with a softer volume if there’s talking during it. We can also accompany the congregation if there are hymns. RECESSIONAL bridal party exit down the aisle ( 1 song)
Perhaps you’ve had a lot of reflective and calm music during your ceremony. This could be the chance to ramp things up now that you’ve tied the knot! An upbeat, joyful piece of music is a great way to end the ceremony and pave way for your reception celebrations.
